1055t 3.8ghz

Thread Starter
Hi i have been reading and still cant make alot of sense from some of the posts about overlclocking the 1055t (i am a complete noob).

My goal is 3.8ghz, i am not fussed with reaching 4ghz atm, getting 1ghz for the price is amazin, and hopefully get some long use out of it.

Whats the best way of reaching 3.8ghz?

Cheers J

Try the following settings, then run for stability. It should be stable, if not close.

272 FSB x 14 (locked multiplier) = 3808MHz
1.4 vcore.
1.25v CPU-NB
2448MHz CPU-NB frequency (272 x 9)
1904MHz HT Frequency (272 x 7)

Make sure you run RAM at rated settings until the rest of the overclock is stable.

Now this might be a bit of too much vore voltage, but make sure that is stable then you can start reducing that 1.4v until it isn't stable anymore.

That is your RAM speed. You should run it at or as close to the rated speed as possible. Also make sure your DRAM timings are running at rated timings as well.

DRAM Frequency, in your case, would mean 1600Mhz, make sure while you Overclock that the RAM is always 1600Mhz or below, else it could cause instability.

Also make sure the latencies are set to the rated ones.

Keep them as they are, when you go to overclock them you lower all those settings basically.

Usually you can get ram to run at
tRAS - 20
tRC - 27
CR - 1T

The first 3 (CL, tRCD, tRP) are just trial and error most of the times. Just lower one by 1 and see if it's stable.

What's the best tool for me to use to change the OC settings for my processor/motherboard?

I'm working on doing the same thing, but the only way so far I can overclock at all is with ASRock eXtreme Tuner. The BIOS doesn't let it go above 2800, and AMD OverDrive has it locked at 200MHz, and won't let me change it...

Right now I have it stable at 3080 (220x14 @ 1.25v)

The best tool is called BIOS anything else is a waste of time.

Also another thing I found was due to the extra MHz on the CPU Frequency/HTT/FSB you may need to inject a little more voltage to the CPU/NB to make it stable.
