687 - XFX or MSI?

Thread Starter
Sorry, the title should have said 6870*

The two particular cards in question:

XFX and MSI

The MSI is more costly, has 7 dollar shipping, and does not have the lifetime warranty XFX does. However I know MSI is considered a very very good company.

The thing is I don't know if I plan to upgrade my card again, I'm not an extreme gamer to do that. That's why I like the lifetime warranty.

Thoughts?

The HAWK is a better card. It has a better cooler and thus theoretically more overclocking headroom. I have two of the Twin Frozr II cards and they are nothing short of amazing!

I think I'm going for the XFX. I plan on keeping this card for beyond 3 years and I have no plan to ever overclock. Can anyone give me a reason why I should go for the MSI regarding the things I just mentioned? I just can't see it.

Not to mention the MSI Hawk only had 3-4 frames above other 6870s. Not worth the lack of lifetime warranty for that...

NOOO don't get the XFX! Seriously the Hawk has a better cooler, less noice, and a slight OC. It is also made out of way better quality parts, and will last alot longer. I had an XFX 6950 and it was nothing special, just a normal ref design. As soon as frys got the MSI in got rid of that thing as quick as I could.
