We have science and it's wonderful because it gets its proof from individual unconnected verification. IE someone does an experiment and then some other people continue verifying it or denying it. There are very few firm solid foundations in the universe but science has allowed us to ingrain this thought. Then electronics turns into a distorted version of this basic underlying scientific methodology. People present numbers and then other people parrot them over and over through all sorts of channels. People pop out numbers that other people can't possibly verify and they get repeated over and over as facts and statistics like it's following the scientific methodology of independant verification. Until it's so prescient that people just assume it's been fact checked by so many people that it's passed the logical tests.

It's a ground work for the big lie. A lie so big that it becomes unbelievable that it isn't true. Don't copy that floppy but be sure and copy that lie. It's kid tested and mother approved. Get on the internet and download a wrong fact today the really wrong ones will go viral through digital copying technology.

Back on topic. Great post OP. Neat that you found that bizarre prophecy and weird that it happened someplace else.
You sound all Charlie Sheen right now.

Back on topic - I love age old prophecies!

Ahh thank you, someone actually gets it.

Either way though I am glad I live in a minimal earthquake zone. I have never experienced one before, but i bet a big one would be terrifying.

Not to drive the 2012 crowd any further but, I have a question of logic.

Earthquakes just happen and they occur where they occur so, how in god's name does an earthquake "miss" anything?

They sort of happen or, they don't.

A guy named Raffaelle Benandi, who was a self taught seismologist, allegedley predicted yesterday a huge earthquake would hit Rome. Well it didn't, supposedly it hit Spain instead.

Lots of people in Rome stayed home that day to be with loved ones in case an earthquake did happen.
