Yeh obviously - but I thought the only difference was that they beefed up the cooler. The price difference was only $10. So I thought would be strange if they used the more expensive reference PCB AND used a more expensive cooler while charging only $10 more.

Why would they change the PCB board design on one of their same product lines? You'd think all TwinFrozrs would use the same design because they're TwinFrozrs.

It would be like XFX going and changing their traditionally non-reference PCBed center slot cooled GPUs to reference PCBs.

Does anyone know how I can completely erase the BIOS on my GPU?

That way I can start from scratch.

I think the problem is that the bad bios has become write-protected somehow. This dude on TPU has the same problem as me: http://www.techpowerup.com/forums/showthread.php?t=142489

Twin Forzr III has Dual BIOS so that if you flash one BIOS to death you can switch to the back up one:)
Twin Frozr II doesn´t.

Also the Twin Frozr III has the highest and best overclocking probability of all 6950´s that is a fact.
And unlock also works most of the time gpu-z is just not able to recognize the 1536 shaders yet because it needs an update.

6950 Twin Frozr III is the absolute best of all 6950 in my oppinion.

Ummm, so again, does anyone know how I can either completely erase the GPU bios,
or bypass the write-protected checksum values to flash the 6950 bios?

Or can I somehow edit a 6950 bios to make it have the same checksum value as a 6970?
