so... today i bought 2 x 2048 Kingston DDR2 800 MHZ and my pc wont work... windows memory diagnostic tools says it's a hardware problem.

and if its starts... screen goes off, on, off, on saying "nvidia driver recovered succesfully after the crash". i think the PSU might be the casue... probably not having enough power... i dont know. what do you guys think ?

oh, and never, never trust your dad to buy you a pc...

First of all test your PC after loading setup defaults in BIOS. If these ram are fine your PC would work. Rams hardly fail outa box.

I tested the ram memory after i set everything in bios on default. it's working. but i get much lower overclock than before. with the old ram mem 667 mhz i would go to 3.4, with these new 899 mhz ram i get same overclock but BSOD... windows doesen't even starts...

Even being able to use the pc with that ram running almost double ita rated speed is crazy. Never seen 400mhz OC on cheap ram like that

seems like for my pc the 667 mhz is better for overclock than 800 mhz... or my psu is messed i dont know. with the old 667 mhz a-data i go to 3.4 ghz and ram 1091 mhz... with the new ones 800 mhz is rubish
