Just finished up with some sleeving!

Thread Starter
I ordered some black and red sleeving from MDPC and just finished up my 24pin motherboard cable and my 6 & 8 pin cables for my 6970. I still have some more to do but it will have to wait till later this week. This was my first attempt at sleeving ever. What do you guys think?

The 24 pin connector I did last night and messed up so I had to repin the whole thing and that took me quite a while from start to finish. The 6 pin was a breeze but the 8 pin took a couple hours because the pins didnt come out so easily. This was my first time so im assuming it will take me less time the more I do it.

Thanks! Yeah it was out. I took that picture before I repinned the whole thing so I fixed the heat shrink now.

Nice work for a first-timer! I remember my first PSU.... *shudders*. Thankfully I learned from all of my mistakes. A full PSU probably takes about 4 hours total now, maybe less. Best way to get those pins out that don't want to come? Get your pin tool in there, make sure the connector slides down, wrap the wire around your fist and yank the bastard out

Thanks! Lol that is EXACTLY what I did. I know I had a spare 8 pin cable so I didnt care if the one I was working on broke. I put the tool in and yanked the hell out of it. It came right out and nothing was broke, lol. Are a lot of cables like that? The 6 and 24 pin were extremely easy to come out. BOTH my 8 pin cables were hard.
