o wait, that might be why, the timings are different, one is 9-9-9-24 and the other is 8-8-8-something, should i change them both to 9 or both to 8? the ram in question is listed in my sig

^^ that's what did it for me I have a mix of ocz and corsair vengeance and if the timings were off then it wouldn't recognize some of them and if the qpi or dram voltage was wrong the same thing would happen. Try enabling the xmp in the bios to 1600 9-9-9-24 and 1.50 and see if that works. If the patriot need 1.65 then they may not get booted up. The vengeance can run at 1.65 easy

the patriot is the actually the one being recognized the vengeance is the one thats not showing up. it has a lower timing so that might be why

It happened to me as well. What i did was disable the IGD vram access. Hell, my P55 mobo was stealing RAM for some IGD that was not even there (p55 cannot show video, needs a discrete card). Maybe it's taking that ram to the IGD even tho you have a discrete card

Do you have them both in each channel ect. channel 1 x2gb corsair x2gb vengeance or is one set in one channel and the other in the other channel? If so try to mix them on the two channels

I think they are on 2 different channels, but Im not sure, its hard to find it in my bios how to change the settings

You would do it physically on the board. Just take your ram out and stagger them from left to right.
