That's more of a pro than con considering most claw/fingertip grips encourage lifting the mouse often. You want it to be as light as possible.

Lachesis was a failed experiment, don't even bother. Just stick with the Abyssus.

Massive lift off distance. Way too heavy. Unfixable acceleration from the sensor. AND an impossible to press middle mouse button FOR $60

If only Razer made a Deathadder-shaped mouse with the sensor of a Lachesis... which can be the Mamba, but at the $60 price range. One can dream.

I've found this to be true, judging from all mice. The G9X has extra buttons (side wheel) and changeable grips which suits me well but suffers from acceleration and a stiff middle button. The Deathadder is plain with features compared to other mice (suit to taste) and is too big from some people. The Spawn doesn't have custom DPI and has the 800 DPI problem (currently) but has a comfy rubber grip. The RAT has cool customization for your hand but the sensor can be really faulty for some people. The NAOS 5000's buttons and wheel, I heard, feel cheap and many people have trouble booting Windows/BIOS with it plugged in. Again, some people have sensor issues with it. I never though it'd be so hard to choose a mouse...I'm limited in my choices 'cause I'm a small-handed claw-gripper. Eh...I had to choose one.

Just ordered the G9X using the new customer discount. $50.

I await the hellish stress it's going to bring to me as I'm fragging in Bad Company 2: Vietnam.

While you're probably right, I find it funny that so many people have called the G9X the "best mouse ever made." While I don't think there is such a thing, despite it's problem, many people frankly love the hell out of it. I'll have to wait and see.

I ordered my Abyssus off of Amazon for $39 with overnight shipping...

The only thing that would really annoy me about this mouse is that there's no side buttons which I typically use for Ventrilo, but whatever, I'll find a way around it. The lift off distance is somewhat high like people mentioned, but I'll just fix it using tape.

Otherwise this mouse is pretty much perfect for me. First time using a claw grip mouse and I don't know how I could ever go back to palm gripping a mouse for a FPS.

Just to point out... The Naos is probably one of the first mice I've owned that didn't feel cheap and it was pretty solid. Only problem was the sensor and it's pretty heavy. I'm still keeping it around, but it's probably going to be replaced by a trackball for non-gaming use.

The Lachesis was the biggest piece of **** I've ever used. I don't know how I used that for almost three years over my original 3G Deathadder.

To OP, congrats on your mouse!

Worse case scenario; you can test it out and return it if its not for you.

If I went by all the reviews on OCN, I wouldn't have just ordered a RAT7 but I need something for my wrist.

Seriously form factor > all other things. If it fits you, its worth more than any sensor/spec (imo).

Can somebody tell me how much smaller the Abyssus is compared to the G9x or Deathadder?
