Dust Filter Cases

Thread Starter
can somebody recommend a good nice case with dust filters included. budget around up to $300. i like the Corsair 800, but my room gets really dusty and i wouldn't want to clean the inside every week even with air cans.

Just buy some fan filters to put infront of all the openings in your case.

I am biased towards the Antec 1200

It is a bit of a old case, but there is good airflow and the filters are washable for easy cleaning.

A popular solution before dust filters ever came out was to use women's pantyhose on the intake. Sounds funny, but it's reported to work well. I remember years ago that many on this forum used them.

I have the 800D and it can be made to be fairly dust free:

- Positive airflow
- Bottom filter tray (included)
- Rear case fan, simply buy a $2 fan filter.
- Topside 3x120mm vents, I bought a magnetic filter from frozencpu.

I also bought a Lian Li front bay mod to help bring cool air into the case and it comes with its own filter.

I usually vacuum the filters once a week and check the inside of the case every so often and dust isn't a problem.

I gor the 800d, the problem with that tower is that the top i all open, I havnt been able to mount 3 dustfilters i bought due to the size is a tiny bit bigger that 120, and mounting them side by side simply cant be done, so the duast comes ind from the top unless you cover it up everytime the comp i off. While its on the air flow keeps any dust from commin in at the top. Im working on some modding to make 1 big filter to mout on top while still be able to easely remove to clean.
