Recently I've been getting a random slowness in Windows. When I start my computer up, it's as quick as can be. The longer my computer is on, it seems to get slower and slower. By the end of the day (right now), it takes about three seconds to load start menu or maximize windows that are minimized. There's also a slight lag when clicking on desktop icons and things. This just started about a week ago. I have a nice system and I'm using Windows 7 x64. I run CCleaner many times a day (OCD about it, for no real reason!). I run Auslogics Disk Defrag and Auslogics Registry Cleaner every couple of days and scan for viruses frequently with Malwarebytes. I use BitDefender Internet Security 2011. Always updating drivers and staying fresh on Windows updates. I can't think of anything that's changed in the past week. I installed one new game on Steam (Battlefield 2). I can't put my finger on what it could be. As soon as I restart, my computer will be super quick and gradually slow down again throughout the hours. Could this be my RAM or hard drive failing? Anything in Windows causing this? I need some help troubleshooting this problem. Thanks for any responses.
