Hi, I'm sorry if this thread has already been posted but I was reading that the AMD 1100T is rated to only DDR3* 1333MHz for RAM speeds. Can it go higher or is it better to stay at this level, and tighten the timings?

Overclocking is possible, but it's just that the native support includes memory whose stock speed is 1333 MHz.

I personally wouldn't expect any 1333 MHz memory to go that high, but yeah: overclocking is good!

ok cuz i have pushed the memory to about 14xx dont remember exact numbers but i wasnt sure it was completely stable so i reset it. Then i found this info and thought that was the reason for instability. Also I'm planning on re overclocking my system when i get this cpu. Can anyone tell me the best order for overclocking. I've been doing the RAM, then the NB, then the CPU. Should I be doing this differently?

Yeah, it would be best to do the CPU because you mess around with the multiplier and FSB. Changing the FSB would change your clocks for most everything else in the system, so tackle that first.

Then RAM or NB, either is fine. Though try to keep your NB around 2000, if only a little higher. Benchmarks (I don't have them ready but can look if you want) have shown going too far past 2000 doesn't help unless you are running 5Ghz or so.

oh really? i thought that higher the nb the better since that controls the system. but this is how i did my last OC, tips are appreciated. Lowered system clock till RAM was at stock when on its highest multiplier. Then I slowly raised the clocki till the RAM would not stabilize with tweaks. Then with this clock tackled the nb same method cept I changed the nb multi instead of moving the system clock. Then cpu again using the cpu multi. Is this a good method. Made sense to me when i did it.

What set of RAM sticks do you have? I could possibly help you OC it for your set up. It all depends on what MHz your RAM supports, depending on that you will be able to OC it to different settings. I currently have my RAM running at 7-8-7-24-2t at 1800MHz. While not the best It get's the job done for me.

What??? NB of 3000 is way better in perfornance then 2000. You are thinking about HT.
