I need a new (simple) wireless mouse

Personally I hate "recommend me" threads but I need help. I need a new mouse.

I've been using the mouse from a Logitech Cordless Elite Duo for years now and I like it a lot. It fits my hand and has two extra assignable buttons I used to surf the web efficiently. But I've recently upgraded to Windows 7 from Windows 2000 and the button assignment is no longer supported in the Windows 7 Logitech software. I can no longer assign the back and scroll up commands I so often used while web surfing.

I've been through the forum and there's a ton of threads regarding gaming mice but I don't need a mouse with 17 buttons. I'm looking for a wireless mouse with 2-3 extra assignable buttons that's of a medium size and has a simple wireless connection (not some stupid recharging hub thats the size of a drink coaster).

So far all I've been able to find are laptop/netbook mice but they are too small. I want a wireless mouse that has a bit of heft and size to it but without the umteenmilion features that gaming mice are saddled with. I'm not a PC gamer and I don't need a bazillion buttons.

My mother wanted a wireless mouse (against my advice) and we settled for the MX Revolution. Rather pricey, but it has suprisingly good tracking.

Normally when I use someone else's computer, I cringe because the mouse is nowhere near as responsive as my G500. It's a great mouse that I only have only one complaint about: The middle click isn't actually a button. Instead, it toggles between super-fast-scroll and the normal click to scroll.
