I own an array of high-quality, and production headphones.
5.1 and 7.1 for gaming is an absolute joke.
Even when producing, I can only really notice it on my HD800's (around $1400).
Any "gaming headset" that features 5.1 or 7.1 is a gimmick piece of garbage.
If you're going to pay a lot of money for a headset. Then for god sake, do it right.
