I found the later metal gear games went a bit down hill. loved the early ones on the snes and ps1 though some of my favorite games at the time.
That said the orgininal Deus Ex is for me still a game i will happily sit down (crummy graphics and all) and slog my way through with a grin on my face the whole way and I still even now after 10+ playthoughs find new secrets and thing's i've never seen before
Human revolution is very meh in comparison 1 dimensional and entirely unlovable lead character....seriously why is the hero in every game these days a jumped up tough guy with less personality and inteligence than my toaster. coupled with the most predictable story line i've ever seen.
Still enjoyed it but i felt like I mostly enjoyed it thanks to the little things like emails and hidden snippets of information.
maybe its just me having played the older games but, from the first word that megan said I knew I was going to be the reason for thier massive break through and that she would be kidnapped before we made it to the talk we were meant to give. that she would end up working for the illuminati and that hugh darrow was a bad guy the only thing that I found remotely suprising was that Hugh wasn't working for a big organisation just himself and that I didnt end up diddling the pilot, I mean the "defective" chip thing who did not see that coming?
