MSI P67a-GD65 not booting (RAM issue?) *SOLVED*

I got my shiny new 2600k and the aforementioned motherboard today and it won't boot.
Most of the time, it powers on for half a second then turns off for 5 seconds, then repeats.
Other times, it seems to power on but there is no video output or beeps.
On rare occasions it will boot, then freeze after a minute or so.

It will most likely do one of the latter two things if I have only one stick of RAM in.

I've checked all my cables and tried different video cards. The only thing that seems to have any effect at all is moving the RAM around.
The memory is some Mushkin stuff I got off newegg about two years ago. It's unusual memory in that it runs at 1.85v instead of 1.5v, but my previous motherboard was smart enough to underclock it so it could run at 1.5v so it would boot. Is it possible that this motherboard isn't doing that?

For Sandy Bridge setups, you are only suppose to use memory that has a max of 1.65v. Intel recommends 1.5v but it has been tested that 1.65v memory will not cause any issues. Also, you should refer to the tested memory for that mobo on the MSI site.

Thanks. I was hoping to save money in the short term by re-using my old memory now, and buying new memory when I'm ready to turn the rest of my old hardware into an htpc.
I'll let you guys know how it goes when I get my hands on some different RAM to try.

If you buy memory rated at 1.65v, I recommend that you only buy that memory that was designed for SB mobos.
