U2410 Calibration

Hey guys

Im an avid gamer but i also do alot of 3D modeling/Cad and photoshop work
i have just upgraded my pc and am in the process of watercooling it and i need some new monitors.

I was thinking of getting 3 24" TN monitors with a fast response time and then getting a dell ultra sharp 27 or 30" and somehow mounting it so that i can pull it down in front of the 24" panels when i do my 3D work and then push it back when i want to game.

Is this a viable option? or should i just get 3 24" ips panels? i have read some bad reviews on the dell u2410 with pink/green tinting but im not sure if they are valid or not now cause they were written a year ago.

Can you recommend me some monitors to use? main purpose is 3D work + photoshop but also gaming (bc2 and bf3 when it comes out)

So i managed to get 3x U2410 monitors hell cheap but still brand new in sealed box for $1300 now i have read that the factory calibration is ok but people recommend to recalibrate on a monitor to monitor basis .

What should i get to do this specifically for these monitors? so far i have found the Spyder 3 pro or elite. but i dont know what the difference between them is since i have never used aftermarket calibration software.
or should i go with something else entirely?

Help is greatly appreciated.
cheers

Any type of cad, modeling, or photo editing work you want to stick with IPS panels. Dells are the best kind. If price is really a concern and you need 3 monitors LG recently came out with e-IPS 23" 1920x1080 monitors, their not as good at the ultra sharps but better than 99% of the TN panels out today.

But 2 30" ultrasharps @ 2560x1600 should do you well for work/pleasure
