Also, for the price of those HD6950's with Aftermarket coolers, you could just grab a reference HD6970.
TX750(what he picked)=$149.99
Truepower 750=$139
HX750=$195.00

Oh and 80+ ratings arent everything, though i will admit the HX is slightly better.

Yes the cards i listed are only $23 cheaper then the cheapest 6970 that site has, I just thought that the stock ones might be too loud...after re-checking reviews the stock ones are actually pretty quiet, so yeah he should just get a stock one.

I am assuming the OP can't purchase from newegg, otherwise I'd tell him to buy there and save a few $100s.

Hi guys, I just have one final question:

Do I need to buy some specific hardware like a soundcard or something that enables wi-fi?

Thanks
post #43 of 47
Your mobo has integrated sound and should have optical out. In addition your graphics card (if equipped with HDMI should be able to output 7.1)

You will need to purchase a wifi card. Wired is much faster and included on your board. Wireless N technology is the newest and fastest.

Thanks alot mate. My dad's been grilling me on whether the board has wifi, bluetooth, a connection for the monitor etc, etc. Now hopefully I can relax and just buy and build this computer!

Here ya go man.

Here is the spec page from ASUS. This should answer all dad's questions. Anything it can't help ya with, shoot us a post!

Good luck!
