Need help choosing a motherboard

Thread Starter

So I have $100 worth of credits/coupons for Amazon that I plan on using on a p67 mobo. However I need help deciding since I've been out of the loop on the newer platforms since my Q9550 has met my demands until now.

I can only buy motherboards sold by Amazon themselves to get the price reduction so these are my choices:

and

Now I've looked at the Asus P67 Deluxe but I have no use for 3 PCIE slots.

I've looked at reviews and the Gigabyte seems to be better. However I'd like some input from those of you here that actually have these boards. From looking around these forums it seems that the majority of people with 2500/2600k's generally run ASUS.

Also I plan on pairing one of these boards with a 2600k and 8gb of ram. OCing capability is an obvious plus.

Thanks.

I bought the Asus P8P67 Pro B3 coupled with a i5 2500K and 2x4GB Corsair Vegeance 1600MHz 9-9-9-24-1.5v RAM about one week ago.

Board seems very solid. No problems or bugs so far. I've even started a club. You find it in my sig..

I don't think Gigabyte has UEFI on their P67s, just something to consider.

Personally I would recommend the P8P67 Pro simply because if you have any problems, troubleshooting will be easier as so many people have that board or the Deluxe on this forum so they would be able to help you out.

Also it's a great board and has achieved very respectable overclocks, at least from what I can see on this forum.
