Vtt and Dimm question x58 I7 950 on p6x58d premium

I keep hearing this Vtt needs to be within the rage of 0.5v to Dimm

which means Do I always have to keep that distance to make it safe?

Since I'm using 1.200v Vtt Dimm as 1.5v does that mean I'm doing it wrong?

Or does it mean I'm supposed to raise it once my Dimm is out of range of 0.5v to the vtt voltage?

The stock VTT is usually ~1.15V, that's why the memory is rated for 1.65V for x58. It's OK to be less than .05V difference, just not more.
So for example, 1.25V vtt & 1.65V vdimm is fine, but if you bump up the memory to 1.8V vdimm you will want to use at least 1.3V vtt.

Up to ~1.45V is pretty safe for 24/7, shouldn't need that much for less than 2000Mhz memory.
