Strange black box

Thread Starter
I just built my new computer last weekend. I got everything up and running smoothly except I didn't have a display port adapter to run my 3rd monitor. Well that came today, I plug it in, extend my desktop and sure enough there's a black box on the screen. It's not selectable or movable, has two arrows at the bottom, and stays there regardless of which programs I kill. Does anyone have any idea what this is?

I could probably live with it, I'm just stumped and have never seen anything like it. Don't know what to do with it either.

With the program called "ProcessExplorer", which can be used to "select the program" to figure out which process it is running, and you can kill it from ProcessExplorer or task manager. Though it can do this, I mainly use it as a portable alternative to task manager on systems where it is not available

Well thanks for the input. I had already tried killing processes to no avail. Process Explorer wouldn't work in this case because the object wasn't selectable. What did help was booting into safe mode. From there I was able to figure out that it has something to do with the ASUS mobo monitoring software. It's still weird that it was never present when I had only one or two monitors connected. It appears only with 3 displays active, but no idea why. Oh well, at least I know a little bit more about it.
