"Autoclick" problem

Thread Starter
I have a Logitech MK300 mouse and keyboard combo and the mouse is giving me problems recently.

I find that it auto-clicks on or off even though I haven't released the mouse button yet. When I try and select a group of folders (with my finger still on the button) it releases and quickly selects it again, which means I can't select all the folders.

If I try and select a bunch of folders to scan for viruses, it releases itself and acts as though I'm moving a folder.

When I click the top of the Firefox window without releasing the button, it minimizes and acts as though I double-clicked it, which I didn't.

I never thought I'd be here asking for mice help, but here we are.

Any help is appreciated and rep is given for helpful advice.

Edit: Batteries are fine and I haven't adjusted any of Windows' or Logitech's own mouse settings.

This guy's having the exact same problem with the exact same mouse. Anyone know what the problem can be?

mk300 wireless mouse loses "click" on click and drag

I searched the forum and didn't find any info on this, and "googling" the issue came up empty.

The problem is that the mk300 mouse "click" drops on any click and drag action. The "click" quickly comes back but it is very annoying when trying to select text for cutting and pasting, because only a portion of the text that I attempted to select is selected. Hard to describe. Basically, the "click" of any click and drag is glitchy.

I tested a different logitech wileress USB mouse just too see if the problem wasn't isolated to the mk300 mouse and the USB mouse did not exhibit the same glitchyness.

Has anyone else experienced this issue? Know of a solution?
