Help with cable mgmt

Thread Starter
hey guys, I'm pretty new and I was wondering which forum could I post too to get some help with cleaning up the spaghetti in my case? This is the closes one I found. I can post pics of the interior so i can get some suggestions. I'm pretty good at building my own system but when it comes to making cables look pretty well..., I suck bad!! So I need help. I've seen some beautiful case builds here so I'm hoping you all can help please?

LOL wow...ok lets see...

Does your case have room behing the back panel? If not, here:

First I would unplug all the cables and do everything one at a time...

I think the SATA cables I would have all run straight down and up, and all leve lout right where they would connect to the mobo, and get tied together then all move towards the mobo into the sata ports...

I would probably route that 8 pin cable behind the motherboard to that top port.

Thats how I would start, at least.

Yah it's a mess I know but that's after getting a new modular PSU (Seasonic X-series 850. Yes it does but to start with the sata cables and get them cleaned up what type of extensions would I need and notice I have 6 sata devices ( 1blu-ray, 2dvd, 3 hdds). They all have to connect to the 6 sata ports that is conveniently sitting right under the vid card. How can I do this?

I don't think you should need any extensions unless you think some of them wont be able to reach the ports that way.

lol this should be fun...I am glad for my HAF X, I am totally OCD about cable organization, and this HAF X makes it insanely easy for me, so glad...Pretty much any case with half an inch of rear panel space is a godsend.

Do you need the 2 dvd driveS? It would make it much easier...

Basically, I think you will have to bunch your cables up and have a line runnign down the center. The 8 pin can be hidden up top and ran down with all the other cables but even putting 4 cables together tightly with ties will clean it up a bunch!

Also, tighten the cables up. I can see those 8 pin pcie powers are loose as a goose!
