yes indeed CS:S is the best FPS.

no silly leveling system, fluff game play, dlc...

its a straight up shooter and to get really good actually takes time and patience.

The feel of the weapons and the teamwork required to be successful in BFBC2 makes it the best FPS today.

I played CS:S quite a bit. I also played every other FPS) quite a bit. Currently I like BF:BC2 the best. What I don't get is how some people are saying "It takes more skill to play (whatever FPS they play) than it takes to play (whatever FPS you play).

they say because different FPS games have different hit box sizes. cs 1.6 is pretty tiny compared to say COD4 so you would need to have better reflexes and aiming skills.

Quake III is sumpremely more difficult, with a higher level cap as well

really? no one has said BF2? thats shocking!

I'm gonna say BF2, because it has a good balance of fun and skill (i.e doesn't make you rage quit after one match)

Not better reflexes and aiming skills just different from game A to game B. If you are good in game A you can get good at game B if you want to play it enough to learn. Just my opinion on the subject.

toss up between Goldeneye 007 for 64, or the first Unreal Tournament!

YES, the amount of sheer boredom that game produces is just unparalleled!

I say Gears of War 2. Loads of fun.
