Boom. That was the first FPS I ever played. I sucked so hard at it at first, but eventually became that dude who killed everyone. It's the pre-cursor to TF2, and really set the stage for the team-based class shooters that came out in the years to follow, which are the best FPSes in my opinion.
CSS doesn't have a whole lot of teamwork below pro leagues. It's just run and gun, hope you don't eat an AWP to the face if you play on public servers. Games like TF2, RTCW:ET, BFBC2 all require you to act together to achieve something- one player who is amazing can really be a boon for your team, but he isn't going to win the game single-handedly. CSS isn't like that, if a pro player goes on a pub without any competition at his level, he'll dominate the entire server and ruin the fun for everyone else.
