Fan speed software

I'VE TRIED SPEEDFAN Just thought I'd get that out of the way now.

Heres to 411. I just built a mini ITX pc for my mother for mothers day. I installed a xigmatek apache on 4800x2 I put in it. Damn thing runs at 2600RPMs and is annoying as all hell. Being as that it is for a pc that my mom uses, I need some fan controller software that will load at boot and keep the fan at about 1600rpms.

I've tried speedfan. It does not boot when windows starts. And my mother, isn't going to have the know-how to start it every time. Not to mention it doesn't even save the speeds I set the fans to. So does any other fan speed controller software exist? Ive searched and the only ones I find are way old. And Zotac doesnt have any software.

Hmm I don't know a software that can do that - been looking myself.

But couldnt you just give the fan 5v instead of 12v? .. If you are planning running the fan speed on low anyway

Subbed - in hope for a software based solution

Speedfan WILL load at boot if you put a shortcut into the startup folder on your start menu.

"C:\\Users\\Administrator\\AppData\\Roaming\\Micro soft\\Windows\\Start Menu\\Programs\\Startup"

or

"C:\\ProgramData\\Microsoft\\Windows\\Start Menu\\Programs\\Startup" = for all user accounts

But will it save my fan speeds? because everytime I start it up, there all back at 100%. Kind of pointless to start at startup if I have have to manually set the speeds each time.

No, it doesn't seem to save fan speeds if you set them manually. But if you use Automatic fan speed option you can make Speedfan always adjust speeds to be same.

You need to configure speedfan for automatic control. Then it will remember your settings when it starts up. I used this guide to configure speedfan. It's fairly easy to do.
