Making A Serious upgrade, need advice - Page 2

I'd rather go sandy bridge than the Thuban route at this time period.

I suggest waiting for the Bulldozer as well but if it's impossible then you should be looking at i5 2500k or i7 2600k in my opinion.

And 16GB ram is as overkill as it gets, 8GB is enough for _almost_ everything there is.

well. i am gona save up.. and wait for this release... i iwll admit. if its not a red and black theme i may consider not getting it for my main rig. the 2nd main reason i want the boad is it looks amazing, looks are as important for me because i do a lot of shows with my rig. and i love it looking clean and sleek. dont get me wrong the performance is #1 but it jsut looks great with 2 sapphire 5770s (red and black) and the new DF-85 case.. will be a *****ing rig

EDIT: sorry ZND i will not use intel, even if they endoreced me for life, i jsut cannot stand there setups. i have used there CPUS and had nothing but problems. and im stubborn as hell too. i just prefer AMD for some reason.
