Hello, I need some help for overclocking settings in bios if someone could help I'l appreciate ...my configuration is posted on info. The question is how can I obtain 1600 mhz with:
-cpu e4400 2000mhz ,
-motherboard Asus P5P43TD-PRO,
-memory Kingston 2x2GB, DDR3, 1600MHz, HyperX..in Dual channel (Interleaved)
-Graphics Card:HIS HD 4650 Fan Native HDMI 1GB(128bit)800MHz DDR2.
Until now, with modified settings I manage to get 1400mhz on memory but I'm verry sure I diden't do it properly..and the sistem is not stable 100%, so I will wait sugestions and help...I'm sorry for my bad english.

1600mhz on your memory? I don't think I've ever seen anyone hit that on DDR2 memory - not sure what else you would be asking for, but even 1400mhz I doubt would be anywhere near stable, its hard to push memory that much beyond its stock frequency.

If your looking to overclock your CPU thats a much different story, but not even in your OP. You should reset your settings and read this thoroughly before starting your overclock: http://www.overclock.net/intel-cpus/...rclocking.html

I think he said he has DDR3 memory. I'm also confused, are you just trying to run the memory on it's rated 1600mhz speed? Are you trying to overclock CPU? Try running on different FSB/DRAM ratio

Hello and tnx for reply, yes is ddr3 1600mhz, and yes I'm trying to run the memory on it's rated 1600mhz speed (memory is running on Dual channel Interleaved ). For now I managed a stable configuration:
-CPU RATIO SETTINGS 09.0
-FSB FREQUENCY 300
-PCIE FREQUENCY 100
-FSB STRAP TO NORTHBRIGE 400
-DRAM FREQUENCY DDR3 1200MHZ
-MEMORY OVER VOLTAGE 1.65
Other configuration that I tried and is currently:

-CPU RATIO SETTINGS 08.0
-FSB FREQUENCY 333
-PCIE FREQUENCY 100
-FSB STRAP TO NORTHBRIGE 333
-DRAM FREQUENCY DDR3 1333MHZ

The rest are all auto, but so I doubt is correct and stil cand get it do it work as his default speed 1600mhz.
CPU-Z

Thank for wellcome

Well, in the BIOS where it says DRAM Frequency, can you just change it to 1600?

Try increasing your FSB? I guess that would bump up your memory

Indeed but when I put FSB FREQUENCY 400 and set dram to 1600mhz screen goes blank...and I must reset the bios...think the problem is on voltages, all are on auto even DRAM Timing Control...what I diden't understand is memory running on Dual channel Interleaved...don't know if affect the frequency or double it..another point..what is the conection between FSB FREQUENCY and FSB STRAP TO NORTHBRIGE?
Another answer think...will be to upgrade my CPU in the future to increase fsb maybe one on 1333 can be overclocked better ( motherboard can be O.C to 1600mhz FSB and 1600mhz dram frequency), but for now I want to succeed with currently configuration. Tnx for reply once again.

You need to raise your fsb, cpu, and northbridge voltages to overclock.

I would start with 1.3 fsb and northbridge, and 1.4 cpu and go from there.

Ok guys, I dident manage to overclock..maybe was afraid to raise voltages..but I changed my cpu to E5700. Basicaly it's the same CPU, I could not tell me if is better or not, same cache but it's on 3000mhz and is not conroe it's wolfdale..another diference is on technology..from 65 to 45 nm and multiplayer who raised on 15 but practicaly it is more cheaper..don't know why either
So the new settings are:
-CPU RATIO SETTINGS 9
-FSB FREQUENCY 390
-PCIE FREQUENCY AUTO
-FSB STRAP TO NORTHBRIGE 400 mhz
-DRAM FREQUENCY DDR3 1560 MHZ
-CPU 3510mhz
-DRAM TIMINIG CONTROL AUTO
-CPU VOLTAGE AUTO
-NB VOLTAGE AUTO
-VTT CPU VOLTAGE AUTO
-MEMORY OVERVOLTAGE 1.710
-CPU SPREAD SPECTRUM AUTO
-PCIE SPREAD SPECTRUM AUTO
-CPU CLOCK SKEW AUTO
-NB CLOCK SKEW AUTO
When I set fsb to 400 (think this will overclock my FSB to 100%) pc get block in bios or in 5 sec after reboot. This are some images

I will w8 some advice..thanks alot.
