Computer crases games, everything else works.

So I just got a new computer, finally. It has

X58A-UD3R
i7 960
Mushkin 6GB 1333
nVidia GTX460 - 270.61 WHQL
Antec TruePower 750

Every time I play games the computer stops responding and screen goes black, I can press CTRL+ALT+DEL and close the game and restart it but it will just happen again in few minutes.

I have tried
- 3 nVidia drives, including the newest one
- Fresh install of the OS (FF. Bios)
- 27 Hrs LinPack
- 13 Passes MemTest86+
- Replaced the graph card
- Replaced the motherboard
- Replaced the CPU
- Replaced the PSU
- Replaced the memory

Does anyone know what could be causing this? Is this a know error if any 2 items aren't working properly?

In advance, thanks for your help.

Is it stable under stress testing?

Is RAM set at the correct timings. Try setting the BIOS to failsafe defaults, too.

Ran LinPack for 27hrs, MemTest86+ for 13 passes. The GPU fails at any games and 3D Mark 11, but tried two other cards and it didn't matter, those also failed but I know for sure that the other two are working perfectly.

So let me get this straight, from what you've said in the original post, you've basically tried 2 or more of everything but you still can't play games?

I tried a different motherboard.

Yeah, replaced everything except the CD-ROM. I just removed the wireless card as an desperate attempt to fix it, it didn't.

I just ran FurMark for about 45 minutes, worked fine, now running LinPack again so far so good. All temperatures are well under the maximum my mind so boiling. Never had any problem like this one before.

Stupid question but did you try using a different monitor and making sure you're using the motherboard standoffs when you put in the motherboard?

I know on some Gigabyte motherboards if you are running EasyTune that can conflict with gaming.

You also swapped the psu?

Edit: You will need to install directX if you haven't already done so. A fresh OS install doesn't include directX
