may I ask why an RS240? just curious... maybe price?

the RX360 is really where performance is at.

In the defense of Sandy Bridge, if the Bulldozer doesn't match (or beat) it in performance, I will strongly consider making the jump.

Valid question, it is because I don't want to go with a 360 rad. IMO it is tough enough to fit a 240 in an Antec 900, a 360 would require tons of modifying.

Plus it was a very good price at $114.99.

I am actually being jealous. I really would like to go with Sandy Bridge or Bulldozer myself when it comes out. But do not have the budget atm.

I am assuming you already got the RS240. If not, I would have suggested to get the RX240 (I believe they make the 240 in RX series). The RX are much better rads than RS per the research I have done. But with the plans you got, getting the RS is not a big deal since it seems you will go dual rads at some point. Just pick up a RX rad at that time.

That's the plan Thanks for your support.

Guys I have one more question, so I went and got the Sapphire HD6970 last night from a local shop (stupid me I didn't open it up in the shop) but when I got home it wasn't a referenced card, it was the Sapphire revision version (no bios switch, no AMD PCB, etc.).

My question is since my original card which is a referenced AMD Radeon HD6970 card, will the combination of ref and non ref effect it's performance? I wasn't sure about this so I haven't installed it yet.

You got the one with the blue PCB and the black and silver shroud right? I had that card and thought it was great other than the noise. It clocked very well at stock volts (better than what you're looking to do), actually just a bit better than my lightning at stock. However, the noise was too much for me. Kcuestag has your exact setup, a reference sapphire 6970 and a blue pcb sapphire 6970. He likes the blue pcb better. However, they work fine in crossfire together.
