I dont see many people suggesting the Behringer MS16, but I highly recommend them.

I wanna use these as "movie" speakers as well that can perform surround sound, so even though there are plenty of speakers 30-90 bux, i know with price comes watts so id prefer to purchase something that has more "options" for their usage.

Well 2.1 will not be surround, it's physically impossible. To get a solid 5.1 setpu you'll have to shell out quite a bit more cash. They key to movie listening is the .1 - subwoofers really bring out the excitement and feel of a movie, just like you experience in a theater.

Yea, i definately understand I am giving up a lot by going to 2.1 from my current 5.1, but the logitech zcinema has some surround sound feature on it that i was hoping other 2.1 speaker setups had as well. I feel it is not necessary to have a 5.1 setup for a computer SOLELY for myself (when i say watching movies its only on my 32'), id rather get a decent 2.1 setup that could fill up a very small room with sound than overpower my room with 5.1's.

You will not be dissapointed by the Klipsch if you go for 2.1... They are nice and clear and the sub is great... it really blasts it out for the small size

I actually use my 12 yearold set outside when I have BBQs and such to connect to my ipod. I also have used on my TV as well and really they rock for all scenarios, definitely the best ~$150 set you can get IMHO

That being said, I also have a logitech 5.1 z500(?) 1000w set that I love to... people to bash them alot but i really have no complaints

The thing I would be worried about hte most is if the sub was worn out/blown. But if you get some kind of gurentee I'd go for it!

Like I said, I have had mine for almost 12 years, and I would not sell for only$85!! They just sound to good!

I'd be careful with buying the Klipsch set used. The amps tend to go bad in them. That being said its a good set for the price. You can get better sounding speakers, such as entry level bookshelf speakers for about the same price, but you will lose some bass output since you won't have a sub.

Logitech speakers get a bad rap among people who know a fair amount about audio because, well, they're just not very good at all for the price. They focus on loudness and not sound fidelity and also are not built very well at all (plastic, really?). The subwoofer crossover is also set way too high (150Hz or so instead of the normal < 80Hz) because the tiny little satellite speakers can't hit a low frequency. So now you get directional bass and male voices coming out of the sub, neither of which you want.
