You can do it through Windows Live Mesh as well. It's about as easy as it gets, but the remote computer will have to have Live Mesh running and logged in via a username and password you know. Here's more info on that.

I use it to sync files and log onto my Desktop from school all the time and it works great! I should also point out that it will sync practically unlimited amounts of data peer-to-peer. Since it only synchronizes while both computers are on, I use dropbox to sync all my school and files and documents and I use Live Mesh to sync my libraries (my photos, my videos, and my pictures). This way I always have the most up-to-date version of any important files. More on syncing between computers.

lol it wasn't created for malicious intend. It was created to make remote administration hassle free and smooth as possible. Like all programs that can controller a other its used for bad things. But its a great for the use of good lol we will leave out the other
