Asus GTX 570 DirectCU II waterblock?

Hi guys!

I just got my self a Asus GTX 570 DirectCU II back from RMA from another card, and I wondered if this card can use a normal GTX 570 waterblock?
If not, are there any that may fit?

Thanks a lot smile.gif

Nope, the DCUII models have a non-reference PCB meaning waterblocks for reference (normal) 570's won't work on it.

The universal blocks will most likely work.

Also, aside from the looks, there seems to be no point in going to water with a 570 DCUII as there is not much difference in OC/temps.

I almost got myself a GTX 580 DCUII but I realized later that it was a 3-slot card.

Ah, thats a shame!

I want fullcover blocks for both my cards.
I was to get a PoV reference GTX 570 back, but instead got the DirectCU.
Nice card, but triple slot was a bummer...

Wonder what I should do, sell it and get a reference card perhaps?

The waterblocks are not guranteed to fit on the DCUII GTX 570s, it may or may not fit depends on the actual design. But I wouldn't bother with WCing the GTX 570 DCUII, the stock cooler is very good at keeping the card at a reasonable temp.

Man I wish I have the Asus DCUII GTX 570 instead of the reference GTX 570 frown.gif

Keep an eye on the Newegg open box deals, they have reference and non-reference GTX 570/580s often for quite a discount, they normally sell for ($245-270 on there).

I see. Well I have to search around and see how it goes.
I am not going to WC the cards just yet, but I want to run have WC on my GPU's later on too. To have a completely silent and cool rig smile.gif

But the DCUII is no doubt a very good card with a good cooler wink.gif
