Should i go Sli now?

Thread Starter
As the thread name states, i am trying to decide if i should Sli my 580 now or wait for a price drop. I know when the next generation of cards comes it will lead to a decent price drop but is it worth missing out on the benefits

Is there any game that you cant run at highest settings comfortably? If you find it necessary to go SLI then go for it, otherwise wait for a nice price drop/open box/good deal - I have tri-sli because of my triple monitor setup - otherwise I wouldn't need such an elaborate stetup

IMO whether you buy one now or wait for a price drop you will be happy. The thing is I get excellent performance with just one where 2 on 1 1920x1080 monitor is complete overkill for everything I've played. How long before the next gen cards are released and do you really want to wait that long? Do you have the extra cash to spend now?

It matters on your gaming habbits... Having Crysis never drop below 50 FPS at 1080p never looked so good...
And I think the top of the line will take time to get the price down. Look at the GTX 480's...
