No kidding! I have been shocked about how long Apple has been shipping their laptops with 5,400 RPM drives. This is a joke. The first thing I would do if I bought one of these would be swap the HDD for a SSD.

I think Apple's ultimate goal in the end is no longer selling equipment but renting it out.

I just look at it this way. My computer is better than any iMac so I could really care less what apple does.
Hipsters do not change hard drives any way. When you buy Apple, you agree to buy a severely limiting and proprietary system. It comes with the territory. Dell uses a proprietary SATA power connector for its Xeon/server line.

A lot of these OEMs just want you to pay service with their company. They do not want you to use in-house IT or anybody else like that.

i got one of those drives in my main rig right now serving as a storage drive. Stepdad bought a MBP, upgraded the drive, gave me the old one. he later sold the MBP because he rarely used it.

Well I replied to your post before but a moderator deleted it. Are you kidding me?

It's hilarious they allow numerous "i hate apple" posts and then delete one with some info in it. This site is just turning into a bunch of hate spewing fanboys and it looks like the mods are one and the same.
