I wonder why my game looks so bad even after installing most of the mods mentioned + Extreme config W/ AF or CUUDATS 2.21 / RELI2 frown.gif

Get rid of cudats.... That's your problem...

Use HP's ultra high config.

And what GPU you got?

DUH, I forgot to install 1.21 patch at the moment I took these screenshots, but I don't think doing it is going to make too much of a difference.. ATM I'm not at home.

And yes, I will try that cfg. smile.gif I have 4 2gb 680 Sc cards

Go into your Nvidia control panel and make sure you tune in transparency super sampling.

I know this bug, had the same one (using CCC 1.21 here too), have you by any chance installed "improved" Water shader mod thingy? remove it and it will be back to normal smile.gif

I decided to reinstall this game and finally finish it before Crysis 3 comes out. For some reason it feels like I have mouse lag, it feels choppy at times, even without frame drops. Any ideas?

Fixed. I did the 64 bit fix, which I forgot all about. No more lag.... however now I can't get the mods to work well with it. Not a big deal I just wanted to finish it before Crysis 3.

Finally finished the game. My thoughts:

As I'm sure many would agree, the first half is easily the better half. I always heard that the game progressively gets worse and I have to agree. The end battles weren't even remotely fun, which made it feel more like work than epic. The Alien ship specifically was beyond boring and unnecessarily long.

As far as the graphics go, game looks wonderful for it's age. That said, I can tell this game was poorly optimized, which is some-what frustrating. I just started up Warhead on my quest to beat all the games before 3 comes out, and this game looks better, and most importantly performs better. I'm kind of excited to finally have Crysis 1 completed and to be moving on to Warhead / Cry 2.

I have hopes that Warhead improved on Crysis 1 in the end game. It's not that I have problems with fighting aliens, it just wasn't well done in Cry1.

The biggest problem with Crysis is that

1. It's only dual threaded?
2. It doesn't pre-bake any of its effects

And Warhead is not as optimised as people think, if you take the config folder and drop it into Crysis you get a decent performance boost, if you put the config from Crysis into Warhead you get a performance drop in Warhead.

Warhead in stock form has a config and cvar settings that are easier on the system then Crysis, which you can tell as there's more pop in and pop up in Warhead then there is in Crysis.
