Black ops locked at 90 fps

Hi i have turn off vertical sync, and i played multiplayer and singleplayer and i have always 90 fps with fraps even in most hw demanding places . It is not problem with game, game is always run perfectly, but i just want to see more fps to feel impresive of my awesome gaming rig:)

Have you used a custom config? Try seta com_maxfps "120" in the console to see if you're being limited.

also, I hope you have a 120hz monitor...

I think i have 60hz refresh rate monitor and why you hope if i have 120hz monitor? So much many FPS could be wrong?

Well, I guess if you have cl_maxpackets set to 100 (assuming this is the same as tick rate in css), it would be marginally better to render over 100fps.

Generally speaking, though, rendering more frames than your monitor can display is pointless and just makes your card work harder.

So i try cl_maxpackets set to 200, i simply want know how many could do fps my pc so far in black ops, for example in witcher i reach in some location around 300 fps and nothing wrong happened.

Pretty sure it's the COD engine limit.



I play World at War and it stays at 90fps or so constantly.

I think its default limit, but i dont try yet change limits with console so i will try it.

Yeah, you won't be able to see more than 60fps if your monitor is limited to 60 Hz refresh rate. It's one of the reasons I personally don't game like I used to.

Some people will say it doesn't make a difference, but that's bullocks.
