Err why would this make you stop playing PC games, if I may ask?

Some people will say it doesn't make a difference, but that's bullocks.
W-T-F- a bulls-hit? Thats not true, its a difference a 90 fps is more fluently than a 60 fps game, and you have bigger droping fps reserve.

If you have a 60hz monitor it refreshes the screen 60 times per second...

Anything above 60 you will not see other than the fps counter, and it can induce image tearing, the reason we have vsync

No.

vsync on will mean this:
FPS max: 60 (no tearing)
FPS min: 51

vsync off
FPS max: 97 FPS
FPS min: 51

There is no benefit. Avg will be lower with vsync on only because your max fps is just lower.

More misinformation and "I can totally see the difference between 60 and 90 FPS with my four year old 60hz LCD" posts...

Nope more fps is always better, and i dont see monitor which bigger refresh rate than 60, and vsync very suck, i never use it, which vsycn a have more laggy in games, becouse which vsync i have min. fps 30 and without 50 for example so you have much bigger fps droping reserve
