The only reason your "H50 doesn't produce any noise" is because your GPU fan "produces a ton of noise" (and probably other parts of your system). Before I switched from a DDC3.2 to a DB-1, my pump was by far the loudest/most obvious/most irritating part of my setup.

When my GPU fan is low then my CPU fan, if not my GPU fan.

Definitely the hard drive- and there is virtually no way to control the noise without having to cripple its reading/writing speed.

I can hear them ... not the PC

I`ve had this problem with Bose Companion 5 ... then i`ve changed to Corsair SP2500 ... and still the same s**t ... but that`s probably how the speakers work.

As for the main question:
- PSU - electrical noise
- PSU - fan noise
- GFX - fan noise
- CPU cooler - fan noise
- HDD
- DVD-RW
- Case fans

... but it`s not that hard to build a silent PC
