Your trouble is most likely the fact that "my documents" folder is a special folder and to get permission to do anything in this folder requires an act of god.

Alternatively, have you tried with linux live cd? Good Luck

edit: try remove from share/homegroup. sorry, that's all I can come up with.
It is in the Documents folder, however, SimCity 4 cannot read outside of that folder. So... I'm stuck. :\\

I, also, excluded it from the HomeGroup and the Sharing, but it still remains.

I'm adding more plugins and the installers all say that one of more files are write protected.

Anyway, I've solved my issue, for the most part. I just hate the fact that I can't remover the read only attributes from system folders.

hi

According to me linux operating system is more secure and reliable to use.

In the past a window have A 32 bit extension to a 16 bit user interface for an 8bit operating system

But now a days Modern day Windows 7 Professional x64:
Windows is now a 64 bit tweak of a 32 bit extension to a 16 bit userinterface for an 8 bit operating system based on a 4 bit architecture from a 2 bit company that can't stand 1 bit of competition.
