i Done it 2 times i damaged my video card by overcklocking under lan and i got another one with the extended warranty that i pay each time i buy a pc part

Really?

A warranty is there is the product comes to you with a DEFECT or develops one down the road. A defect is something that occurs on it's own. If you screw up and drop a $500 video card because you have butter fingers that's your fault, not the manufacturers.

Take the hit and learn how to handle your expensive components.

Sometimes I wonder how much of this site is low lives. You're absolutely right on the selling components online. That's my biggest fear when selling things anywhere online, that's what shipping insurance is for.

You know those threads where people go ballistic because a company won't RMA their genuine defect product... well it's because there are so many folk out there who fraudulently get products replaced after they break them.

You messed up so you should buy a new one. That said it might be worth being honest to the manufacturer/store to see if they can help in any way. What you shouldn't do is just blatantly lie about it.

A. I am pretty sure this type of discussion is prohibited on OCN.

B. You dropped it, it wasn't something the people who supplied you with the card did and is therefore completely your fault. I mean, they didn't put something on it to make it slippery so you would drop it.

C. Suck it up and sell the broken one as a broken one to someone who may want to try and repair it and use that cash to buy a new GPU.

I fried 2 HD 6950's a few months back, and returned the other, bit the bullet on the other one, I just couldn't afford 600€ with a 10€ allowance. I wouldn't of have done it if I had more money.
