AMD Bulldozer (FX 4110) - Page 3

Why would he post under his full name with full reference to where he works? Doesn't make sense.

Core temps & socket temperature can differ depending on processor. On my 1055, core temps report an avg. 7-10 degrees lower. Other x6 report 10-12 degrees lower, most x4 report similar or a few degrees higher or lower

Well.... Theoretically the new carbon graphene material that was recently invented could reach those kinds of speeds but we're probably not going to see an implementation like that until we're on our deathbeds. I think I read on /. that researchers did achieve making a 100Ghz transistor.

At least that's what I think the "grafo" thing is referring to.

500Ghz+ Bulldozers coming in march 2013!

I think it lost a lot of credibility when he claimed bulldozer II would be 10nm.

Unless I'm missing something, shouldn't 22nm be next, followed by 14nm?

I guess you could, but the process of die shrinking isn't exactly easy afaik. Its a process that takes some time to master to get the yields you need. I mean if you could just skip several gens of die shrinking I think they'd all (gpus and cpus) be doing it.

I love how he states that he can't disclose the stock clocks, but yet he can post videos of it running what, a month or two before it's release?
