LED or 3D monitor for gaming? - Page 2

My understanding is that the 8ms response time on the IPS panel is the equivalent of a 2ms response time on a TN panel monitor.

I know that doesn't really make sense but I think the gray to gray response time of both the IPS and TN panels equal about 15ms (I believe this to be the case).

So you shouldn't really notice any difference AFAIK.

However this info could be totally wrong. Best to wait for more info from more knowledgable source

I have just did read this very good review

http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/reviews/dell_u2311h.htm

and I think I will go for Dell U2311H.

I was as well thinking about 120 Hz for gaming but I found out that if you have 120 Hz screen and want to have smooth gameplay in FPS you have to maintain your FPS between 100 -120.
I play on fps between 70 - 90 all maxed out on 1080, and I don't want to lower graphics details just to maintain fps 100 - 120 in order to have smooth gameplay.
