Disregarding the price, are these better than GT AP-15s? headscratch.gif

Here is the datasheet: http://www.noiseblocker.de/en/BlackSilentPro120.php

Both are quality fans so it really depends on your application; where/how you plan to use. IMO, NB's stats are somewhat overrated/misrepresented and doesn't justify the cost, compared to the price/performance of the GT's smile.gif

GT AP-15: 1850 rpm
SP: 2.057mm/H20
Rated dBA: 28
Real: ~30-31 dBA

NB's PLPS: 1500 rpm (PWM)
SP: 1.833mm/H20
Rated dBA: 24
Real: ~25-28 dBA

I've used a variety of NB XL-1/2 as case fans but not the PLPS so I can't comment on use, but generally what I've read/heard is they make better case fans (low SPL) with the exception of the NB-Multiframe M12-PWM (2000 rpm).

For P/P on a mega.. I'd still go with the either a pair of GT-14's or GT-15's if higher SPL needed thumb.gif

Nope. GT's are better. Better static pressure and airflow/noise ratio. Better blade design and more of them.
The Noiseblockers come with more anti-vibration accessories, but that doesn't apply to you, since you'll be using the fans on a heatsink.

nope. I used a 140mm noiseblocker as my top exhaust and its a good fan, but has a more noticeable noise than my ap15s. I imagine the 120mm's move a similar amount of air, but the noiseblockers are going to be louder and I bet the ap15s will still have better static pressure at similar RPMs.

Id probably get high speed yates from like jab tech before id use those, assuming ap15s werent an option.
