RMA.

The only way to rule out a software issue is to format and only install a game that has been experiencing issues. Then if it doesn't work it's hardware. If it does work slowly install software until you hit one that causes it.

Otherwise.. RMA.

Is it really a hardware issue if it's fine in some games?

I'd hate to have to RMA. My previous with a GTX 470 required me to RMA it twice out of the box in order to get a working =/

If you format your computer and only install one of the games it was having problems on and only the drivers.. no other software except the bare minimum and if it continues then it isn't software.. it would pretty much have to be hardware.

It could be the PSU though according to EVGA. They told me to go into bios and watch the rail to see how close to 12 it got and if it fluctuated.

Haha, they love to blame it on the PSU.

They kept telling me my PSU 12v was giving off too high a voltage and to get it replaced, which I did and it still had the same problem.

I'll give reformatting a try then.

Err my issue with them had to do with the artifacts, sorry I forgot about it.

After formatting and installing 266.58 I'm not really having any problems as far as stuttering.

Haha, my issue with my GTX 470s was with artifacts, too!

It was weird though since it would ONLY artifact at the Windows sign in screen xD

After roughly an hour of gaming I start getting artifacts in BC2.

Is your CPU doing anything else? I was having micro stuttering in game for the longest time and was seriously irritated.

Then I realized it was because of my Folding@Home CPU client.

Also, are all your drivers updated? Chipset / IDE controllers etc?
