Basically, Intel is the only SURE THING when it comes to performance. That's what I need, a sure thing. AMD's lack of interaction with their community visavi showing what Bulldozer is capable of seems really sketch, as Intel has no problem giving preliminary benchmarks at all, and they always deliver.
Who knows though, I may be wrong about the whole thing...but I really don't see Bulldozer outperforming Sandy Bridge. This is why I've ordered my Intel parts already.
This is a joke right??
Both Intel and AMD do the same thing when it comes to product launches. They normally keep it under wraps until the launch date and then the NDA is lifted. However, there's always some Chinese website (like the one that released the 2500k and 2600k benchies) early.
Besides, this is done for a very specific reason. You don't want people everywhere to know everything your upcoming product because it will stop them from buying your current products and start waiting for the new product. This is good for consumers but bad for a business that lives on sales. I mean, if AMD had released Bulldozer benchmarks a year ago and stated it was coming out next year, would most people have bothered to buy the Thubans knowing full well they are going to want to buy the Bulldozer's as well.
Either way though, go the route that makes you happy. Unfortunately for me, I won't upgrade to Bulldozer on launch but I want one of the HD 7k series GPU's and I can wait until they are released to build a new desktop.Edited by KamuiRSX - 5/14/11 at 10:17am
