Find me an Intel motherboard that does Crossfire 16x, 16x for $150 or less. I been looking and can't find one on the Egg for i5 CPUs. Just because the i5 CPUs are being sold for a fantastic price doesn't mean motherboards are available at a comparable price.

My board is 16x, 16x and has 5 SATA 6 GB/s and cost me $120 off TigerD.

Find an Intel comparable board for me. When you do I will agree with your price/performance assumption.

i would guess it's crappy graphics drivers or some other issue rather than cpu bottlenecking

if OP posts his proof i will gladly eat my words

Well, I couldn't find anything related to Bulldozer technology on AMD's blog. So their lack of information is concerning, which is why I agree with OP. But I found some information on it... Once If it's released, and it's good, I don't see why I wouldn't upgrade to it. I'm not pledging my allegiance to Intel over AMD's lack of communication with some technology that they want to keep safe in their hands.

While your post is all fine and dandy, sounds like a case of "I want my computer NOW NOW NOW!" and you're simply trying to justify not waiting the ONE MONTH until you actually know the details. I don't care if BD is a hero or a flop, but I'm reasonable enough to wait and see. Giving in to impatience now is just idiotic. That'd be like me waiting till April 28, 2010 to give in and extend my VZW contract (2yr) with the Droid Eris instead of the HTC Incredible (released 4/29/2010).

"There's not enough information about it!1!11!!!"
Don't get your panties in a bunch because of everyone's "expert" speculations on OCN.

LOL this thread is pointless. I bet AMD is crying now. If BDs performance is better than i7 2600K, will see your parts for sale and you will be ordering some new stuffs.... OP is such a childish post. AMD is a corporation. What tech company releases hard benchmarks before their release? Hell, we hardly knew the 500 series from Nvidia even existed until shortly b4 release......If BD sucks Ill be going intel again, no need to throw a tantrum as a thread.

Basically, Intel is the only SURE THING when it comes to performance. That's what I need, a sure thing. AMD's lack of interaction with their community visavi showing what Bulldozer is capable of seems really sketch, as Intel has no problem giving preliminary benchmarks at all, and they always deliver.

Who knows though, I may be wrong about the whole thing...but I really don't see Bulldozer outperforming Sandy Bridge. This is why I've ordered my Intel parts already.
You have a short memory and you dont know anything about the business behind the scenes. However its your money, do what you want to do.

Perhaps you didn't read the whole thread. I advise you to before making such uninformed and foolish comments. Oh, and to answer your question: Intel.

Then why are you using AMD now? If your so worried about performance, I would have never gotten phenom... I did read your post. What Solid numbers is intel releasing on Sandy Bridge E? I haven't seen any? I love that a few people think they "know" better at how to run a corporation, them the corporation themselves.
