If you can afford to lose all the stuff on C:, then just delete that partition and have Win7 make a fresh new one on C:.

(I would disconnect drive D: though first; Win7 has a habit of spamming system partitions all over different HDs if you have more than one connected when you've installed it; I know cause I have a box with 4 1 TB HDs in it and Win7 dropped a system data partition on drive 2 for some weird reason.)

Ah, okay, I guess I'll do that; but first, erm, how do I delete a partition? Thanks

Oh, and I'll make sure I disconnect D: first

You can always reconnect your drive D: after the install is finished.

Ok, in this picture (the one you uploaded) you would get the partitioner menu, IF you boot off the installation DVD/CD. If you don't you won't see a "Drive Options" option (see here).

In the "Drive Options" area you can delete/remake/format/etc partitions.

Ahh, okay thanks a lot. So I should burn the ISO to a disc and get it to boot from it? I'll start burning now, thank you.

As a general rule I burn physical media just 'cause losing the file would seriously, massively, suck if ever the hard drive should go phut.

Boot from the DVD you just burned!
Choose Install, Custom install!
Then go drive options.
And manage drives, iirc
delete the partitions!
Make new partition! Windows will say it may make another so Windows works right
Then install to the main partition!

In Windows, do all your Mobo drivers. And Windows Updates!
Shut down, and connect the storage drive!

Dude, what I wrote above is from off the top of my head and I may have worded some bits wrong!
But I'm sure it will make sense when you do it

ACHILEE5 has it on the dot. I would only make one change...

I would just install the Service Pack 1 as well. Download the ENTIRE service pack and burn it to another DVD and install that first thing after install, THEN get all the updates and drivers and stuff.

Transhour, was asking the right question. I'm pretty sure the CPUs you have are either of these:
http://www.cpu-world.com/CPUs/Xeon/I...3066DU%29.html
http://www.cpu-world.com/CPUs/Xeon/I...3066EU%29.html

They are very similar and unfortunately neither of them are 64-bit capable (as they are really just P4s at 3.06GHz with 533MHz FSB). Also, if I understand you correctly you are trying to upgrade from 32-bit to 64-bit, which is not possible. The only way to go from 32-bit Windows 7 to 64-bit Windows 7 is to do a clean install, like ACHILEE5 was describing.

No, it's not a quad core Xeon. The HP Workstation XW6000 has a dual socket 604 motherboard. It's got two single core Xeons (basically P4s) and I think it has hyperthreading (which would explain the info in your link, 2 cores and 4 threads).
