MSI P67A-G43 POST code help.

Thread Starter

So I just bought all the parts for a new PC, went to put it together last night... and I get no POST, but instead this series of beeps when turning it on.

I've searched high and low on the MSI website but I can't find what this POST code means.
If it matters, of the 4 LED status indicators that are supposed to light up, only one is on. I can't find anything that tells me what that means either, though.

I've gone thru every combo of parts I can think of, everything gives me the same error. I've also re-seated everything, put new TIM on the CPU, and tried a PCI GPU, but nothing's helped.

Anyone have any idea what could be wrong?

EDIT: There are no USB devices connected. I know that MSI boards beep for each USB device. This is not that type of beeping.

EDIT2: I took everything off the board and booted it outside the case with just a stick of RAM and now this is the post code I'm getting:

I looked it up and 5 beeps means bad CPU, but does this constitute 5 beeps? What do the first 3 mean then?

you might just want to call MSI and get a tech guy on the phone & explain the beep codes your getting, their service isnt that bad. The board I have isn't the greatest but the representative helped me out alot with the LIMITED perforance my board can give. This was a few days ago.
Call them and get it over with, they know alot about their product. They might not have a 1-800 #. Maybe a friend can you trouble shoot somethings on their PC.
My guess, is probably a RAM issue.

I tried both sticks and get the same thing. I guess it's possible both sticks are dead, but not very likely.

Unfortunately MSI's hotline is only available Monday thru Friday or I'd have already called. :/

Have you solved the issue yet? I just built my machine with the same board and I'm getting the exact same issue.
