need help with my p45 mobo!

Thread Starter
i bought a msi p45 neo motherboard and q6600 from my friend recently.
i ran the super pi just to check how fast it was over my e6850,
but it is running slower , when i checked the task manager the cpu was only
at 25% usage all the way thru the 1m pi calculation,,,
is there any bios setting that hold the cpu back ?????

can somebody using the same mobo, give some good bios setting please!!

SuperPi is a single threaded program and only runs on one core/thread..

Since Q6600 is a Quad core Super pi is stressing it with 25% (1 of 4 threads)..

CHEERS..

well when my friend bought this motherboard , the cpu's clock speed was varying
like from 1.3~2.4ghz,, it goes up when the cpu has load , he had to change some settings in the bios to lock it at 2.4ghz.............
thought that it was causing the problem again....
