At what price do you think a Macbook Pro would be worth buying?

I am talking about the 13 inch pro model.

I bought my 13" Macbook Pro a couple months ago because it was on sale for $999.99, which is $200 off the regular price.. I don't see why everyone hates Apple and OS-X after using it. I have my desktop for gaming so I don't even need a gaming PC. The included programs are really great and there is no bloatware. iMovie and GarageBand are really great too and I use them a couple times a week.

So at what price do you think a Macbook Pro 13" would be worth it? I would say about $800.

It's not the software that's the reason we know it's overpriced. It's overpriced for the same hardware. I wouldn't pay more than 800 for the highest end model.

The big reason for the hate is the contempt that Apple has for consumers. They have a very Nazi like propaganda machine.

I don't like 13" laptops, but I'd say given its current specs and build quality it's worth it at $800.

I'd say it's worth it at full retail price.

I had a 2009 Macbook pro with the 2.2 C2D and last week I decided it was time for an upgrade as the mac was getting a little slow. I initially started looking at the latest macbooks with the i5's and wasn't that impressed. Particularly with the battery life downgrade from the last model, which is the reason I got a macbook in the first place. Needless to say I have a brand new ThinkPad T520 with an SB i5 running next to me right now, and already I'm enjoying it more then the old mac. Not to mention I do think its built better to boot. Unless I somehow find myself needing os x in the future, lenovo has all my future notebook business.
